Twitter Peek: Twitter Device for on the GO Tweeters

twitter peek

Even though i've got an exam to study for, i just couldn't resist posting this. A Dedicated Twitter device, i know twitter is massive but a dedicated device just for twitter, isn't that too much, or is it good product placement ?

Twitter Partnered with a Start-up company called funny enough *Peek* who makes low cost mobile messaging devices to launch TwitterPeek. It's safe to say this phone has twitter addicts and twitterholics in mind. Unlike other phones with twitter compatible apps the TwitterPeek doesn't require Wi-Fi, instead it run on High-Speed Wireless data network which means you can tweet as much as your heart desire.

TwitterPeek Features:

  • Read Tweets
  • Send Tweets
  • Reply
  • Retweets
  • Direct Messages
  • Download Followers

Twitter Peek is available from Amazon.com for $99 on a 6 Month Plan and $199 for unlimited use. i don't know about you but that price plus the only function of the device is only to access twitter is somewhat ridiculous.

Here is a Video of Josh from Edgaget giving Jimmy Fallon a sneak peek on of Twitter Peek

So Forum is this worth the price tag of $99 - $199 for just a Twitter Device ? What are your thoughts ?

As soon as they add a camera/video this could actually have some appeal for the teens, heck it seems cost effective long term for a lifetime connection for $200.

Im a little confused why this is needed when we have phones that do this... isn't it just another thing you'd need to charge and have in your pocket?
